School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at a single school site in the Kent, WA area. Make a difference by delivering high-quality services to a caseload of approximately 30 students, collaborating closely with a virtual SLP supervisor to provide comprehensive care. Ideal candidates for this contract position are passionate about helping children succeed and ready to contribute to a dynamic educational team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid licensure or certification to practice as an SLPA in Washington State Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Strong understanding of speech and language development Excellent communication and collaboration skills Proficient with digital platforms for virtual supervision and documentation
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to students under the guidance of a virtual SLP supervisor Support students' speech and language goals in alignment with IEPs and district guidelines Collect and document data on student progress accurately and efficiently Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all student interactions Participate in team meetings and training as needed
