Week Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Reprocessing Technician to join the Sterile Processing team. Under general supervision, the Sterile Technician cleans, inspects, assembles, packages, disinfects, and sterilizes surgical instruments and products used to support physicians, surgical teams, and various hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean, inspect, assemble, package, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment. Support the needs of Operating Rooms, Emergency Rooms, Delivery Rooms, inpatient, outpatient, and satellite departments. Monitor and document sterilization processes, including steam, ETO, Sterrad, and high-level disinfection methods. Ensure sterilization monitoring methods comply with established standards. Prepare surgical case carts according to surgeon preference cards. Anticipate instrumentation and supply needs for upcoming procedures. Receive, unpack, shelve, and stock sterile supplies while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. Rotate supplies according to sterile supply management principles. Work collaboratively with surgical specialty teams to ensure instruments, supplies, equipment, and implants are available when needed. Maintain accurate documentation and follow department safety and quality standards.
Requirements & Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in Sterile Processing Central Service Certification required. BLS certification required. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and take direction effectively. Good attendance and reliability are essential. Basic computer skills and customer service abilities.
Pay:
$1,300.00 - $1,350.00 per week
