Job Overview
BIGHORN SURGERY CENTER
is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our surgical services team. Experience in sterilization and instrument handling or assisting with dental procedures required . Key Responsibilities Clean, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, ensuring adequate stock for upcoming procedures. Operate and monitor sterilization equipment according to established procedures Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and safety Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines Support operating room staff by ensuring timely availability of sterile instruments Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Willingness to learn sterile processing procedures through on-the-job training Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Ability to stand for extended periods Dependable, punctual, flexible and team-oriented Skills Inventory management to track supplies efficiently. Excellent aseptic technique skills to prevent contamination during processing activities. Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Good communication skills for collaborating with surgical teams and other healthcare staff. This role is essential in supporting safe surgical practices by ensuring all instruments are properly sterilized, maintained, and available for use when needed. Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
