Job Description

Contribute your expertise in sterile processing in a dynamic healthcare environment, ensuring safe surgical care through meticulous preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments. As a certified Sterile Processing Technician with a background in nursing sterile processing, you will collaborate closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team serving operating and endoscopy suites.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm No overtime (subject to change if unit needs shift)
On-call:
6 days per month, including 1 weekend per month
Qualifications:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (Certified SPT) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to adapt to schedule adjustments based on unit needs
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments for 4 inpatient and 5 outpatient operating rooms, along with 2 outpatient endoscopy rooms Perform quality checks and assemble instrument trays according to established protocols Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles and inventory Adhere to infection control and safety standards Communicate effectively with surgical team members to address instrument needs for scheduled and emergency procedures Fulfill on-call duties as scheduled to support continuous patient care
