Job Description

In this role, you will perform the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, distribution, and documentation of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment in accordance with established procedures. UPMC Hamot's Central Sterile Processing team plays a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality surgical care and achieving the best possible outcomes for our patients. Eligible candidates may qualify for a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Certified Central Sterile Processing professionals may be eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Schedule:
Full-time, 2nd shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM). Weekend and holiday rotations are required upon completion of training. Training may be completed on dayshift.
What We're Looking For:
Prior Central Sterile processing experience is highly preferred. Prior healthcare experience is highly preferred. Individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates who are comfortable being on their feet for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and patient safety. The Central Processing Department (CPD) is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and preparing the instrumentation and equipment used throughout our operating rooms and procedural areas. Overview:
To be trained to perform duties necessary for the proper decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, distribution, and documentation of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment according to established procedures. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
