Nights & Eve Night (5x8 Hours) 23:00 7:30 Evening (5x8 Hours) 15:00 23:30 Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, clean, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and reusable medical devices. Follow
ANSI/AAMI
standards, manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs), company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions. Operate washer disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, steam sterilizers (autoclaves), and other sterile processing equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, damage, and completeness before sterilization. Assemble instrument trays and procedure sets according to count sheets and specifications. Document damaged, missing, or non-functioning instruments according to company procedures. Maintain accurate sterilization records, instrument tracking documentation, and inventory data. Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of supply needs. Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of sterile processing equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Adhere to infection prevention, quality assurance, and safety policies. Communicate effectively with supervisors, operations teams, and other departments. Participate in training, competency assessments, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 2 year of Sterile Processing experience in a hospital, surgery center, or medical device processing environment. Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience . Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center is required . First-time travelers/first-time clinicians are not accepted . Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing procedures. Experience with decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, and sterilization of reusable medical devices. Knowledge of steam sterilization, infection prevention, and quality assurance practices. Familiarity with
ANSI/AAMI
standards and manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs). Experience operating washer disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, and autoclaves. Basic computer skills and experience using electronic tracking systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
