Job Description

Kindae Dermatology and Aesthetics is a premier provider of surgical, cosmetic and comprehensive medical dermatologic care at our state-of-the-art clinic in Anchorage, AK. We prioritize compassionate care, a premium patient-first approach and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented and friendly medical assistant to join our team. This position requires working closely with a Mohs surgeon.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care
  • Warmly welcome and room patients
  • Closely assist with surgical and cosmetic procedures
  • Prepare exam and procedure rooms
  • Clean and sterilize instruments
  • Complete prior authorizations
  • Provide patient education
  • Notify patients regarding test results
  • Answer patient phone calls
  • Other duties as assigned
  • No experience specifically in Mohs surgery or dermatology required; we will train the right individual for this position.

Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • 1 year+ experience as a Medical Assistant, Clinical Assistant, or similar preferred
  • 1 year+ of general surgical experience preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in phlebotomy a plus
