Job Description

Shoreline Mohs/Advanced Dermatology , a robust, well-established independent and privately-owned group practice consisting of 3 Board Certified Dermatologists, a fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon and 4 extenders, with increasing patient base and referrals is seeking to hire a full time Mohs Surgical Assistant/HistoTech at our Guilford location. This position will split their time assisting with in-room procedures as well as processing tissue samples within our lab, and as such, is a vital part of the surgical process and is essential to successful surgical outcomes. This position would be great for someone who is interested in health science that has an artistic background and high level of attention to detail.   • Provide in-room surgical support during Mohs surgeries and dermatology procedures.
  • Assist in our onsite lab with histology procedures and processing of tissue samples
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and procedures performed.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Adhere to all relevant protocols and guidelines for patient safety.
  • Utilize knowledge of pathology to assist in specimen preparation. Qualifications
  • Strong background in medical administrative support and patient care
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and medical terminology
  • Experience in clinic/medical office settings, preferably with exposure to pathology and histology
  • Prior knowledge of dermatology and/or Mohs surgical procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented clinic setting This position is M-F (days), and offers a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO/sick time, and paid holidays as well as competitive compensation.
