Travel to other Broward County office locations is required as needed. Position Summary The Periodontic & Surgical Dental Assistant plays an important role in supporting the doctor and clinical team while providing an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication and organizational abilities, attention to detail, and a positive, professional attitude. The candidate must be flexible and willing to travel to other Broward County locations as needed to support the practice. Job Duties Assist the periodontist with periodontal and surgical procedures. Assist with implant placement, bone grafting, extractions, and other surgical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment. Provide efficient chairside assistance during procedures. Prepare and sterilize instruments according to infection-control standards. Take dental X-rays and assist with clinical documentation. Prepare materials and supplies for periodontal and surgical procedures. Seat patients and prepare them for treatment. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures. Provide and reinforce post-operative instructions. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical environment. Assist with clinical photographs and patient records. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients. Work collaboratively with the doctor and entire dental team. Travel to other Broward County office locations as needed. Follow OSHA, infection-control, and practice guidelines. Perform additional clinical duties as assigned.
