Position Overview:

As a Scribe and Surgical/Medical Assistant , you will be an integral part of our team, providing essential support to our providers while ensuring smooth clinical operations. This role offers hands-on experience in patient care, allowing you to assist with a wide range of surgical and skin procedures and general patient's skin care consults. You will work closely with both patients and providers, contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered environment. This role is ideal for pre-medical or pre-PA students seeking hands-on clinical and surgical experience in a fast-paced, patient-centered practice.

Responsibilities:

• Assist providers in physical examination, concerns with ear, nose, hair and skin care consults, in-office (non-hospital based) surgeries including cyst removal and cancer surgeries.
• Assist providers with patient consults and examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Stock rooms and maintain inventory counts.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a pre-medical, pre-PA, or healthcare-related program. Prior experience in a Plastic Surgery, ENT or Dermatology practice or a related healthcare setting, preferably with surgical assisting expertise. Familiarity with dermatologic procedures, treatments, and medical terminology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both patients and team members. Exceptional organizational abilities and keen attention to detail. Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment. Dedication to delivering compassionate patient care while upholding strict confidentiality standards. Traveling to our Melbourne, Barefoot Bay and Sebastian offices is required as part of this role.
