Key Responsibilities Prepare and turn over treatment rooms for pediatric dental procedures under anesthesia. Provide efficient chair-side assistance to the dentist, anticipating needs throughout each procedure. Support safe patient positioning, transfer, and monitoring in collaboration with the anesthesia team. Perform all instrument cleaning, packaging, and sterilization steps in line with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and help coordinate daily clinical flow and instrument rotation. Model and promote Tiny Tooth values, contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture. Communicate compassionately with children and parents, reinforcing pre- and post-operative instructions. Minimum Qualifications Completion of an accredited or structured dental assisting training program, or equivalent in-office training that meets Ohio standards for basic qualified personnel. Current (or eligible to obtain) Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer / Dental X-ray Machine Operator certificate if radiographs are taken in this role. Current BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers. Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization, instrument processing, and infection-control procedures. Experience working with pediatric patients or in a surgical/anesthesia setting preferred. This is a full-time position aligned with surgery days (typically 3-4 days per week, 8-hour shifts), with some flexibility based on patient and OR schedules. We offer a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience and credentials, along with eligibility for benefits and incentives consistent with Tiny Tooth Dentistry Under Anesthesia policies. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of medical terminology Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix is preferred Familiarity with pediatrics, and CAD technology enhances patient care capabilities Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and sterilization procedures Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced setting This position is ideal for candidates passionate about providing outstanding dental care while advancing their skills in a supportive clinical setting.
