In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to provide exceptional perioperative care. Your skills in surgical assistance, sterile technique, and patient management will ensure smooth procedures for urology and gynecology specialties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and patient safety. Responsibilities Assist surgeons during open surgical procedures and minimally invasive techniques by providing hands-on support with tissue retraction, suturing, and instrument handling Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, functional, and ready for use Support perioperative care by monitoring vital signs, maintaining aseptic technique, and managing patient positioning throughout surgery Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning and post-operative care instructions to optimize patient recovery Ensure hospital infection prevention protocols are strictly followed to uphold patient safety standards Requirements Valid certification as a Surgical First Assistant from an accredited program High school diploma or GED certification Completion of surgical scrub technician course Completion / certification 1-2 years Operating room experience; ASC experience preferred BLS certification Join us in delivering outstanding surgical care that saves lives and improves health outcomes.
