Responsibilities Participates in efficient surgical room turnover in accordance with AORN guidelines and Infection Control Policy, including sweeping/mopping floors and repositioning equipment. Collects and distributes clean and soiled linens to maintain hygiene standards. Transports hazardous waste safely and in compliance with hospital safety policies. Ensures all sterile supplies are opened correctly and that necessary instruments are prepared pre-procedure. Monitors surgical schedules to ensure patients are transported to the unit in a timely manner.
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma/GED is required.
Experience:
Less than 1 year of experience working in a hospital setting or surgical unit or related field is preferred.
