Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our outpatient surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient care protocols. As a Surgical Tech in an outpatient setting, you will support surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on delivering high-quality surgical services efficiently and safely. Duties Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment, surgical instruments, and supplies prior to procedures. Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries by passing instruments, suturing, and managing surgical tools. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols throughout all phases of care. Monitor and record vital signs, physiological data, and patient responses during procedures. Operate and sterilize medical equipment and surgical instruments in compliance with hospital standards. Support patient positioning, comfort, and safety before, during, and after surgery. Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless workflow in outpatient surgical procedures. Requirements Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required. Proven experience assisting in outpatient surgeries within hospital or ambulatory surgery center environments. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to various surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, trauma care, pediatrics, endoscopy, and minimally invasive procedures. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, sterilization processes, and infection control practices. Strong understanding of aseptic technique, suturing skills, and treatment of fractures when applicable. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and patients. Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications related to trauma or critical care are advantageous. Pay:
$1,100.00 - $1,250.00 per week
