Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into an essential role supporting surgical teams by utilizing your expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician. This contract opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who excel in fast-paced clinical environments and are committed to patient safety and surgical excellence.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential Proven experience working as a Surgical Tech, preferably in an operating room setting Comprehensive understanding of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and operating room procedures Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and support diverse surgical specialties Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Team-oriented, with effective communication skills and a commitment to quality care
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are ready and sterile Assist the surgical team during operations by passing instruments, holding retractors, and maintaining an organized sterile field Accurately account for sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures Safely handle specimens and ensure their correct labeling and transfer Adhere to established safety procedures and infection control protocols at all times Collaborate with circulating nurses and surgical team members to provide seamless patient care This is a contract position offering the chance to expand your skills and make a direct impact within a respected surgical environment.
