1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a surgery center in Burlington, WI. Details Work in a surgery center with 3 ORs at a 123-bed, Trauma Level III, Primary Stroke Center facility Surgical specialties include General, GYN, ENT, Urology, Orthopedic, Podiatry, and Vascular Pediatric cases are seen with ENT approximately once per week, comprising 5-10% of the caseload Day shift, 8 hours, 0645-1515, 40 hours per week On-call required every 6th weekend (Friday afternoon through Monday morning), plus one night per week, with a 30-minute response time Float rotation to two other sites — Southern Lakes and Lakeland — with a weekly schedule provided in advance Epic EMR experience required; also uses Pyxis and Alaris Requirements Minimum of 2 years of CST experience, with most recent experience within the last year CST certification required BLS certification required Active license required if applicable Epic EMR experience required Proficiency with aseptic surgical techniques and various types of surgical equipment Pediatric experience preferred Ability to provide a professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible COVID vaccination is required Procedural scrubs are provided by the facility Holidays require coverage for 1 summer and 1 winter holiday The unit is supported by a Charge Nurse (non-assignment), on-call surgeon and anesthesia, a surgery scheduler, and an OR aide Orientation is 1-3 shifts based on individual comfort level Time off requests are managed through the unit manager Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions Middle name or initial, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN are required for consideration
