Lead Monitoring/Telemetry Technician Equity Staffing Group - 4.0 Woodbury, MN Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Data quality checks Anatomy knowledge Telemetry Medical equipment operation Cardiac rhythm analysis Writing skills Experience working with cardiac care patients Data quality monitoring Productivity software Medical terminology Full Job Description 2+ years' experience as a cardiac technician with knowledge of medical Ongoing, consistent communication with staff regarding changes Coursework completed in a medical-related field such as nursing assistant The Medical Monitoring Coordinator plays an instrumental role in the 24/7 continuous monitoring surveillance, analysis, and interpretation of patient's heart rhythm patterns, as well as the respiratory rate and continuous pulse oximetry (spO2) for patients admitted to a healthcare facility. Collaborate with nursing and providers when patient parameters are abnormal or critical. Provide ongoing monitoring, reporting and documentation of cardiac rhythms. Ongoing, consistent communication with staff regarding changes in customer's patient vital and cardiac rhythms. Take rhythm strip of all patients on monitors, mount it, measure rate, PR intervals, and QRS complexes, as well as measure QT intervals. Observe monitor for any arrhythmias, including those not picked up by alarm or computer, atrial arrhythmias, blocks, increase of QT interval, etc. reports abnormalities to nurse caring for patient and reports to nurses anything unusual or any changes in rhythm. Label and distribute trend reports for each patient; sign off on all arrhythmia checks. Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities Assist with the technical and non-technical aspects of cardiac monitoring of patients over age 18 who are on Monitoring Services. Knowledgeable in all the functions of heart rhythm and vital sign change recognition with clear verbal and written communication of associated changes. What Is Required (Qualifications) Coursework completed in a medical-related field such as nursing assistant, medical assistant, rhythm interpretation, or a related field. Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) or Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring certification (CRAT). Required to meet the qualifications and obtain certification within 60 days of employment. 2+ years' experience as a cardiac technician with knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare data practices, and cardiac anatomy and physiology. Working knowledge of basic and intermediate life-threatening cardiac rhythms, special equipment used in cardiac testing, computers, and medical terminology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail, including meticulously and accurately labeling data to ensure high-quality data sets. Excellent organizational, communication, writing, flexibility, and listening skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. #indmnhc
