Additional Information About the Role BJC HealthCare is now hiring a Full-time Sonographer (Weekend Option) at our Alton Memorial Hospital location.
Position Details :
Weekend Option Pay Eligible! Full-time (Nights) 37.5 Hours Per Week Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00 p.m to 7:00 a.m. Holiday Rotation Required (2 Per Year - On Call) Sign-On Bonus $5,000 (for eligible applicants) Overview Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery services, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services and more. The ultrasound department is located within the Radiology department of the hospital. The ultrasound department prides itself on being able to offer quality care Close to Home. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical, to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform vascular imaging Responsibilities Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment. Performs ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures. Performs studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area. Minimum Requirements Education Associate or Trade School Equi Experience No Experience Supervisor Experience No Experience Licenses & Certifications RDMS or equiv Preferred Requirements Experience
