Job Description

Responsibilities/Job Description:
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our imaging team at our University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the evening shift, Monday through Friday from 3PM - 11PM. No weekends! The Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient exam ordered. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all the members of the health care team. Responsibilities Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Performs examinations with technical accuracy and in a timely manner. Verifies patient identification and documentation Reviews physician order prior to exam or procedure. Communicates pertinent information to the appropriate health care professional. Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol. Communicates with and educates patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam Recognizes structures visualized and understands their significance. Accurately produces and records measurements according to protocols. Accurately conveys initial findings and clinical data to radiologists. Participates in creating a culture of patient safety Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness for facility Ensures patient data integrity Accurately completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, billing, and status changes in a timely fashion. Performs accurate image identification, record preparation, and digital image manipulation and archiving. Assembles similar relevant exams and reports. Documents initial and ongoing data, interventions, responses/results, or interventions consistent with established policies/procedures/guidelines. Required Qualifications ARDMS registered in one specialty or ARRT RT (S) within 90 Days Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) Upon Hire Preferred Qualifications ARDMS registered in multiple specialties
Upon Hire Qualifications:
$43.65- $63.04 Hourly
