Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Up to 80 hours of front-loaded Paid Time-Off Up to $4,000 Relocation Bonus Clinical Ladder up to $5,000 Job Summary Independently, or under the direct supervision of a physician, performs Echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound/sonography procedures consistent with the established standard of medical care in ultrasound/sonography, following policies and protocols using established anatomical positioning and physiology to produce optimum sonographic imaging, while keeping patient welfare, confidentiality and comfort a top priority.
Job Requirements Education Required:
Graduate or graduation eligible (successful completion of all didactic courses and clinical competencies
not able to walk until next graduation date) of an approved school of medical sonography.
Experience may be substituted for applicants that have not successfully completed a formal education program in medical sonography (see "Experience").
Experience Required:
One year dedicated ultrasound experience OR No experience required with fulfillment of education requirement
Preferred:
Two years dedicated sonography imaging experience Skills Strong analytical/problem-solving skills. Knowledge of current diagnostic technical information. Proficient in using computers and computer systems. Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
Licensure/Certification/Registration Required:
(PE)(RDCS) or (PE)(RDMS) or (AE)(RDCS) or (AE)(RDMS) or (RCS)(CCI) or ARDMS (AB), (OB/GY) or RVT before start date.
Required:
Must obtain BLS within 90 days of hire date
Preferred:
Echo registry within 1 year of graduation from cardiac ultrasound program or within 2 years of cross-training start date Join a highly collaborative Echo Department at Cox South , a 563-bed Level I Trauma Center, where you'll work alongside expert cardiologists, experienced sonographers, and dedicated nurses in a dynamic cardiovascular environment. What You'll Do Perform a variety of cardiac imaging studies across inpatient and outpatient settings while supporting advanced procedures, including: Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) Dobutamine and exercise stress testing Definity contrast and saline bubble studies You'll work with advanced technology , including: Philips Epiq ultrasound machines
EPIC EMR
with Apollo structured reporting Lumedx CardioPAC imaging systems Our workflow follows ACR guidelines , with a balanced pace of approximately one exam per hour . Why Join Our Team Flexible scheduling with 8
