Position Overview The Ultrasound Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. This role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely imaging services.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Compensation:

Commensurate with experience Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations accurately and efficiently for all patient populations Ensure proper patient positioning and selection of appropriate transducers for each procedure Capture and submit high-quality diagnostic images to the Radiologist for interpretation Maintain ultrasound equipment and exam rooms in optimal working condition Utilize electronic systems, including Meditech, to verify orders and document procedures Manage imaging workflow through PACS, including image storage and CD creation Exercise independent clinical judgment, initiative, and attention to detail Cross-train and maintain competency in sonography practices as needed Assist with additional departmental tasks during periods of low patient volume

Minimum Qualifications Education:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program meeting ARRT or equivalent standards

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year of ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates may be considered

Certifications:
