Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Ultrasound Technologist Supervisor, where you will lead and oversee the ultrasound imaging services within our facility. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging across a variety of specialties including maternal-fetal medicine, gynecology, breast health, and cardiovascular diagnostics. As a supervisor, you will coordinate daily operations, mentor sonographers, and uphold the highest standards of patient care and technical excellence. Your expertise will directly contribute to accurate diagnoses and improved patient outcomes in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Responsibilities Supervise daily ultrasound operations, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient scheduling Lead and mentor a team of sonographers, providing guidance on technical procedures and best practices in women's health and vascular imaging Oversee the operation of medical imaging equipment, including ultrasound machines for obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, breast, echocardiography, and vascular diagnostics Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and safety protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to facilitate accurate diagnostic imaging in areas such as maternal-fetal medicine, gynecology diagnostics, and cardiovascular assessments Manage patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns compassionately, and ensuring a positive patient experience Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for all imaging procedures performed Monitor quality assurance standards and implement continuous improvements in imaging techniques and patient safety measures Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles related to ultrasound imaging Proficiency in operating advanced medical imaging equipment for various ultrasound modalities including prenatal, gynecological, abdominal, breast, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound imaging Strong understanding of women's health diagnostics and reproductive patient care practices Experience with vascular technology diagnostics and interpreting vascular ultrasound images Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to patients and healthcare teams Skilled in managing EMR/EHR systems and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for accurate record keeping Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively while fostering a collaborative team environment Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infection during invasive or sterile procedures Familiarity with medical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functioning of ultrasound devices Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise makes a meaningful difference!
