Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Take your ultrasound and patient care skills to a modern facility serving a busy Emergency Department. This contract opportunity seeks an experienced Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer with a strong background in general ED imaging. The position features a 12-hour night shift schedule, working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Enjoy the flexibility of selecting two on-call nights per month and collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Every weekend required On-call two nights/month (flexible selection) 75% holiday coverage expected
Qualifications:
2+ years' experience in ultrasound, preferably in an ED setting National certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or ARRT (S) Active BLS certification Open to first-time travelers Must live 50+ miles from home unit
Essential Skills:
Proficient in general and emergency department ultrasound imaging Willingness to assist with general vitals, patient rooming, EKGs, sitter duties, patient transport, and supporting DX/CT as needed Strong teamwork with staff from multiple modalities Familiarity with Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, Philips iSite PACS, Siemens Sequoia's, and Trophon equipment

New, state-of-the-art department opened in 2020 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound Average 45 ED visits/day and 5 studies/day No floating required during assigned shifts
