Schedule:
Days, M-F, 8hr variable shifts, on call requirement
SUMMARY:
Performs high quality Ultrasound imaging. Assists in the daily routines of the ultrasound department. Assists the RN and physician in the performance of interventional procedures. Responsible for the coordination and ongoing evaluation of the daily schedule in fitting in add on exams. Comply with the professional and ethical standards of the American Association of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct patient care in performing Ultrasound examinations. Maintains departmental equipment by following OEM guidelines, reporting equipment failure or concerns to departmental Manager and Biomed. Follows P & P for infection control, universal precautions and isolation procedures when required. Reports any issues to departmental Manager.
Universal criteria:
Participates in departmental performance improvement. Completes all required annual training and competencies. Demonstrates responsibility for personal professional development by participating in CE requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited ultrasound program OR Graduate of a two-year allied health education program that is patientcare related, such as radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist or registered nurse with 1 year completion of documented ultrasound clinical experience/employment OR Graduate of a non-CAAHEP accredited ultrasound program with 1 year fulltime documented ultrasound experience. Registry with ARDMS, CCI or ARRT, if not registered at time of hire must obtain within 12 months of hire date. Current incumbents to obtain certification through ARDMS, CCI or ARRT by 10/1/2026.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.
PAY RANGE
$38.20 - $56.28 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
