Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Ultrasound Technician/Sonographer to provide outstanding patient care and imaging services. This contract position is ideal for a professional with expertise in general ultrasound procedures, committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging within a healthcare environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active certification as an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent) Proficient in performing general ultrasound studies including abdominal, small parts, and OB/GYN Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records Knowledge of safety protocols and quality assurance standards in imaging departments Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a range of general ultrasound examinations following physician orders Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and answer questions to ensure comfort and understanding Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, submitting results for physician interpretation Monitor patient condition throughout procedures, responding promptly to any concerns Document procedures, update medical records, and uphold strict confidentiality standards Collaborate closely with radiology, nursing, and physician teams to facilitate coordinated care This contract position provides an excellent chance to apply your expertise, gain valuable experience, and contribute to a supportive healthcare team.
