Bonus Potential Summary/Objective The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for the provision of ultrasonic diagnostic procedures to patients according to physicians orders and protocols. This Clinical position requires skills and experience in providing patient safety and providing high quality testing. The Ultrasound Technologist must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. Essential Job Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Proficiently perform ultrasound procedures in the department and other areas and utilize Infection Control principles when performing exams. Maintain all policy and procedures in sterilizing transducers Act collaboratively with radiologist staff to provide appropriate procedure data and communicate effectively with technical and medical staff. Participate in QC/PI activities and work within the guidelines set forth to maintain ACR Accreditation. Appropriately and completely enter all required date into
PACS/RIS.
Participate in clinical oversight of student trainees. Required Education and Experience Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program Required License/Certifications Current registration with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification (ARDMS) within 90 days Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 90 days
