Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time RDMS Sonographer to join our healthcare team. This role is 1 or 2 days a week (Mondays and/or Fridays). The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and patient care, along with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. The Sonographer will play a vital role in providing accurate diagnostic information to assist in patient care. Duties Perform sonography examinations, including but not limited to Ob/Gyn and abdominal studies. Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical imaging protocols and diagnostic radiology practices. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns. Document findings accurately and maintain detailed records of all imaging procedures. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss imaging results and contribute to patient care plans. Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques. Supply providers with correct coding of sonograms. Experience Proven experience in sonography or a related field is preferred. Ob/Gyn experience is highly preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic imaging practices. Familiarity with patient care standards and protocols in a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and healthcare teams effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
