Category Imaging - Ultrasound Vascular Job Type Contract Make a difference daily by utilizing your expertise in ultrasound imaging to deliver high-quality vascular studies in a supportive healthcare environment. This contract role is ideal for dedicated professionals skilled in both general ultrasound and specialized vascular imaging, who thrive working collaboratively with physicians and care teams.
Qualifications:
Current certification as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent) Demonstrated experience in performing vascular ultrasounds required In-depth knowledge of sonographic imaging techniques and protocols Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and patients Ability to accurately document and report results Knowledge of patient safety protocols and infection control procedures
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations focused on vascular assessments and additional protocols as needed Operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear, diagnostic-quality images Review requisitions, confirm patient identification, and explain procedures for optimal patient comfort and compliance Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure comprehensive care Maintain accurate, organized imaging records and assist with exam interpretation as requested Adhere to all facility and regulatory guidelines regarding imaging practices Contribute to the efficient flow of daily operations by supporting colleagues and assisting in imaging department setup/cleanup
