Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a California-licensed Relief Veterinarian (DVM) to join the team at Animal Medical Center in Hesperia on a flexible, part-time basis. Work 2-4 days per week in a well-equipped, supportive hospital where you can focus on practicing great medicine without the burnout of full-time or emergency work. Schedule & Compensation $2,000 per day for full shifts

Shift:

8:00 AM - 9:00 PM (11 working hours) 1-hour unpaid lunch break (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) 2 to 4 days per week — you choose your preferred days About Animal Medical Center We are a busy, well-established small animal hospital in the High Desert that takes pride in delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Duties & Responsibilities Provide high-quality medical and surgical care for dogs and cats Perform wellness exams, diagnostics, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry Manage a variety of cases including dermatology, internal medicine, and urgent care Build strong client relationships through clear, compassionate communication Work alongside our experienced and supportive veterinary team Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) Active California Veterinary License (or ability to obtain quickly) Strong clinical skills and confidence working independently Professional liability (malpractice) insurance required Reliable transportation What We Offer Highly competitive daily rate of $2,000 True scheduling flexibility (you pick your days) Experienced, friendly, and efficient support staff Modern facility with quality equipment Welcoming team environment where your skills are valued How to Apply Please submit your resume and a short note telling us: Your typical availability Any special clinical interests (dentistry, surgery, ultrasound, etc.) We're looking to bring on the right person quickly and are happy to arrange a hospital tour or meet & greet.
