Formerly Advanced Veterinary Internal Medicine, Pacific Care has grown into a 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital offering Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Surgery. You'll practice in a new, state-of-the-art facility with the technology and resources to support a diverse emergency caseload. Advanced Medicine & Technology Pacific Care's modern facility provides our Emergency Veterinarians with the resources and specialty collaboration needed to deliver exceptional patient care, including: 10 modern exam rooms Dedicated radiology read room GE CT scanner Ultrasound Dedicated ICU Isolation ward Scoping capabilities Cat-friendly waiting area On-site specialty support in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, and Surgery In your day-to-day, you will: Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals. Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions. Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment. Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine. Work closely with Emergency Veterinarians, specialists, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care. Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations. Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning. What You Bring DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for California veterinary licensure. One to two or more years of emergency medicine experience. Confidence practicing independently and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced emergency environment. Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach. A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care. A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine. Interest in emergency surgery is welcome but not required .
