//wilkescountyvet.com/ What You'll Do & Who You Are What You'll Do Provide medical, surgical, and emergency care for multiple species. Conduct physical exams; diagnose and treat medical conditions; manage both routine and complex cases. Perform surgeries, including farm and field surgeries. Deliver preventive care—vaccines, nutrition counseling, herd health, parasite control. Complete farm calls and participate in shared on-call duties. Work closely with skilled technicians, assistants, and support staff. Maintain accurate medical records in our practice management system. Build strong client relationships with owners who genuinely value your expertise. Who You Are Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree / VMD or equivalent, with a Georgia license (or the ability to obtain one). Experienced in mixed-animal work or a motivated new graduate with strong large-animal interest. Communicative, compassionate, and confident treating varied species—from cats to cattle. A team player who thrives in a collaborative, community-oriented clinic. Excited about hands-on large animal work and willing to participate in rotational on-call duties.
