Responsibilities Conduct thorough medical examinations and diagnose health issues in a variety of animals Perform medical-surgical procedures such as vaccinations, wound care, dental treatments, and complex surgeries Communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medication instructions, and preventive care strategies. Maintain compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and USDA guidelines for medication handling and record-keeping. Uphold high standards of animal welfare through proper animal husbandry practices and adherence to veterinary terminology. Collaborate with team members on critical care cases involving veterinary emergency services or intensive animal treatment. Requirements Valid veterinary license with current certification to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, medical-surgical procedures, and aseptic techniques. Hands-on experience with veterinary critical care practices, laboratory testing, and pet grooming is preferred. Familiarity with Veterinary Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations and USDA guidelines for medication management. Exceptional client communication skills to provide clear education on pet health issues and foster positive relationships. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of veterinary medicine.
