Overview Priority Pet Care of the Ozarks in West Plains and Willow Springs, MO is looking for a full or part-time Veterinarian to add to our team. Our practice is well equipped with in-house diagnostics that include digital radiography, chemistry and hematology, new Samsung HS40 ultrasound, and more. Know that you are an important part of the area as you treat the beloved pets of our clientele. Use all the tools necessary to perform thorough examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop effective treatment plans for small animals including dogs, cats, and other companion pets. Perform thorough examinations and preventative care treatments that will help keep our patients healthy. Administer medications, and treatments with precision and care, while adhering to current veterinary standards of practices Perform and/or assist with surgical procedures. Surgical desire and/or prowess are not required, but it is looked upon as a favorable trait. We do a broad range of procedures here, and you will get to do more in this area than most urban clinics. Education and communication are keys to success in this (and most) clinics. The ability to educate pet owners on animal disease and treatments are essential. Maintain detailed medical records, laboratory data, and treatment logs in compliance with clinic protocols. We use a cloud-based PIMs and we encourage you to use the automations that it offers to make your life as easy as possible. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution with valid licensing or certification to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Missouri. Current DEA and BNDD licensure (or the ability to obtain) Proven veterinary experience with a focus on small animals; additional experience in critical care or emergency settings is highly desirable Experience working with pet owners to provide compassionate pet care advice and education Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail New graduates are welcome.
