ER/GP Associate Veterinarian - New Bern, NC
Job Description
We are working on behalf of an independently owned, newly built veterinary hospital in New Bern, NC that is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its growing team. Opened just over a year ago, this modern facility was designed from the ground up to support both general practice and emergency medicine under one roof, meaning pets never need to be transferred between a day clinic and a separate emergency facility. The hospital is equipped with five exam rooms, separate dog and cat wards, an isolation suite with its own ventilation, a double surgery suite, a dedicated dental suite, in house IDEXX laboratory equipment, digital radiography, and an onsite CT scanner, a rare capability for a hospital of this size. You will practice general medicine during the day alongside true emergency coverage in the evenings, with a schedule built around four working days a week and rotating weekend shifts. This is a close knit, owner led team that genuinely values its people, with monthly staff events, cross trained technicians and assistants, and a hands on, humble culture where doctors pitch in alongside the team. Compensation is production based with no negative accrual, so time off never counts against your earnings, and the practice is happy to support new graduates with structured mentorship as well as experienced clinicians looking for a full time home.
