Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Veterinarian to join our mixed small and large animal clinic. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse range of animals, ensuring their health, comfort, and well-being. Your expertise will help diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses while fostering strong relationships with pet owners and colleagues alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families through compassionate, ethical veterinary practice. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of small and large animals, utilizing veterinary terminology and clinical ethical guidelines to determine health status and treatment plans. Perform veterinary surgeries, including general anesthesia procedures, animal restraint techniques, and specialized surgeries such as dentistry, spay and neuter. Administer anesthesiology protocols and manage critical & intensive care cases with precision and professionalism. Process production animals including vaccinating and pregnancy diagnosing. Provide emergency medicine services, including stabilization and critical care for acutely ill or injured animals. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and pet care instructions while maintaining high standards of client communication. Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary terminology and laboratory experience to support accurate diagnosis and treatment documentation. Qualifications Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in veterinary medicine, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, and animal physiology. Demonstrated proficiency in animal restraint, animal catheterization, aseptic technique, and laboratory procedures. Knowledge of veterinary general practice, emergency medicine, and critical care practices. Ability to handle dogs, cats and production animals confidently; experience with equine or exotic animals is a plus. Strong understanding of animal anatomy knowledge and pet grooming basics for comprehensive animal care. Commitment to professional ethics and adherence to clinical ethical guidelines in all aspects of practice. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language. Problem solving skills and ability to work independently. Patience and compassion towards animals, clients and team members. What to expect Full time position would have a 4-day work week with Rotating on call and Saturday responsibility. Part time position can negotiate number of days per week and will have rotating on call and Saturday responsibility. $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
