Responsibilities Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions across multiple species, utilizing veterinary terminology and clinical ethical guidelines. Perform surgeries including general anesthesia procedures, dental work, and specialized operations such as oncology or cardiology interventions. Administer animal restraint, handle animals safely using aseptic techniques, and conduct animal catheterization and laboratory diagnostics. Provide emergency medicine and critical & intensive care for hospitalized patients requiring veterinary critical care experience. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies while demonstrating animal husbandry and pet grooming knowledge. Maintain accurate medical records, follow veterinary internal medicine protocols, and adhere to professional ethics at all times. Support the team with laboratory work, anesthesia management, and advanced procedures involving animal physiology and anatomy. Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution with valid licensing or eligibility to practice veterinary medicine in the respective jurisdiction. Proven veterinary experience with proficiency in animal handling, animal restraint, and surgical techniques. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, cardiology, oncology, and emergency medicine. Experience working with companion animals; equine experience is a plus but not required. Ability to perform general anesthesia safely across different species while maintaining aseptic technique standards. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to pet care education. Familiarity with laboratory diagnostics and laboratory experience is preferred.
