What if full-time veterinary medicine didn't have to mean five long days a week, staying late every night, or spending half your day doing tasks that could be handled by a well-trained support team? At Waynesville Veterinary Hospital , we're a privately owned , multi-doctor small animal practice located between Cincinnati and Dayton, and we're looking for another veterinarian to join our team. For our full-time doctors, a typical schedule is just 3 full days + 1 half day per week , with no on-call or after-hours responsibility. But we also know that the right schedule looks different for everyone. We're happy to be flexible and work with our next veterinarian to create a schedule that fits their life and we're open to both full-time and part-time candidates. Whether you're an experienced veterinarian looking for more autonomy and a better quality of life or a newer DVM looking for genuine mentorship, we'd love to meet you. A Support Team That Actually Supports You :
Great medicine is a team sport and our long-tenured team includes experienced RVTs and support staff who help keep appointments moving and allow our veterinarians to focus on diagnosing, treating, communicating with clients, and making medical decisions. You'll also work alongside veterinarians with 9 to 35+ years of clinical experience, so there's always someone available to collaborate on a challenging case or bounce around an idea. Support When You Want It.
Autonomy When You Don't :
We don't believe every veterinarian needs to practice medicine exactly the same way. Interested in dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, orthopedics, ultrasound, reproductive medicine, urgent care, or developing another clinical interest? We want our doctors to build on their strengths and pursue the areas of veterinary medicine they enjoy most. Experienced DVMs have the freedom to practice confidently and independently while still having colleagues available for collaboration. For newer veterinarians, we provide individualized onboarding and mentorship from experienced doctors and a knowledgeable support team so you can build confidence without being thrown into the deep end. Privately Owned By a
Veterinarian Who Still Practices Beside You :
Private ownership means a little more when the owner understands what your day actually looks like. Our owner isn't sitting in a corporate office or removed from day-to-day medicine, he's a practicing veterinarian working on the floor alongside the rest of the team. Decisions are made by people who understand the realities of patient care, client communication, and life in the hospital. You'll have a voice, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to help shape the practice.
