Lead Veterinarian - Catlett, VA A veterinary practice is seeking a Veterinary Leader to join its collaborative clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality companion animal care, mentoring team members, and helping shape the continued growth and success of a thriving practice. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership while delivering exceptional medical and surgical care for companion animals. Perform comprehensive physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans. Mentor and support veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to promote clinical excellence and professional growth. Foster a collaborative, positive workplace culture focused on teamwork and high-quality patient care. Assist with the development and implementation of medical protocols and best practices. Collaborate with hospital leadership to improve clinical operations, workflow, and patient outcomes. Maintain accurate and timely medical records. Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution. Active or eligible veterinary license in the state of practice. Previous experience in companion animal medicine is required. Leadership or mentoring experience is preferred. Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and collaborative leadership.
