Job Description
Overview Sand Hollow Resort features some of the most breathtaking golf the nation has to offer. The Championship Course is consistently ranked as a "Top 100 Resort Course in America" by Golfweek since 2011, and is currently #37. Ranked the #1 "Best Course You Can Play" in Utah since 2009, Southern Utah's incredible views and engulfing vistas surround the front nine's red rock outcroppings, natural vegetation, indigenous sand bunkers, and rolling fairways. Featuring dramatic elevation changes extending across a towering ridge-line, the Championship Course back nine is unlike anything in the West. Most golfers replace their club with a camera for the first shot on the back nine. This unique course is open to the public. If you love the sport of golf and like to play on the lake or dunes, this is the place for you! Resort accommodations are well-appointed and comfortable, supplied with everything a guest needs to feel right at home. Each suite, condominium, and home are surrounded by gorgeous views of the lush green golf course and red sandstone landscape with access to our golf course, exhilarating adventure, or a desert stroll right out the front door for a little more relaxation.
The Grille at Sand Hollow Resort is a full-service restaurant that serves traditional and contemporary cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As an Assistant Golf Professional at Sand Hollow Resort you get to work with a great team that is always striving to make the Golf Course and Resort better. You get to meet incredible people from all over the world who come to experience what we have to offer. PGA Members and Associates are allowed to teach golf lessons. Experience Required At least a Level 1 Apprentice or sign up within 90 days of employment Strong customer/guest orientation Well organized and detail-oriented Must have knowledge of the game of golf Strong communication and interpersonal skills Essential Responsibilities Greet and direct all visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner Register new players; update existing players in database Inform players of course conditions (cart path only, reason for brown patches, upcoming events, etc.) Operate tee sheet reservation and point of sale system Maintains a constant presence in the Clubhouse Empties trash throughout, dusts, cleans, ensures all surfaces and displays are clean and attractive daily Stock inventory as necessary; submit inventory re-stock orders, changes, and suggestions to supervisor Assist in directing all play on course Effectively communicate and coordinate information between all areas of the golf operation Uphold management and association policies Coordinate with the Head Professional to make sure all golfing group's requests are fulfilled before the group arrives at the facility Sell merchandise with product knowledge Assist the Head Golf Professional in all duties pertaining to the success of the golf operation Benefits PGA dues paid (must be in good standing) Clothing allowance Practice and playing privileges Discounted Meals while on duty Discounts on golf shop merchandise 100% of instruction income Health Insurance benefits after 60 days of employment
