Part-Time (Seasonal and Year-Round Opportunities Available) Position Summary The Classic Golf Course is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Pro Shop Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you'll play an important role in creating an exceptional golf experience by providing outstanding customer service, assisting with daily golf operations, and maintaining an organized and welcoming pro shop. Whether helping golfers check in for their tee times, answering questions, or assisting with merchandise sales, you'll help ensure every guest enjoys their visit to The Classic Golf Course. Primary Responsibilities Greet guests with a friendly and professional attitude. Check in golfers and process tee time reservations. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for green fees, cart rentals, merchandise, food, and beverages. Answer phone calls and assist customers with reservations and general inquiries. Maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked pro shop. Assist with merchandising, displays, and inventory management. Ensure golf carts are assigned and coordinated with tee times. Provide information about course conditions, events, leagues, and tournaments. Help maintain a positive pace of play by communicating with golfers and staff. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reconciliation. Support tournament and event operations as needed. Perform additional duties assigned by the Golf Professional or General Manager. Qualifications Previous customer service or retail experience preferred. Golf knowledge is a plus but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable working with computers and POS systems. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Must be at least 16 years old (or as required by Washington State employment laws). Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Schedule Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Approximately 15-30 hours per week, depending on the season.
