• Job Summary:

• We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have experience working in a bakery or grocery store setting. The Bakery Clerk will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the bakery, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and providing exceptional service to our customers.

• Responsibilities:

• Manage the bakery area, including preparing and displaying baked goods, maintaining cleanliness, and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
• Operate a cash register, handling customer transactions, and processing payments accurately.
• Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and receiving deliveries.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and making recommendations to drive sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including bussing tables and cleaning up spills.
• Upsell products and offer specials to increase sales and drive revenue.
• Work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues to ensure seamless operations.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions to inform customers and drive sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the bakery and customer service areas.

• Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a bakery or grocery store setting.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management skills to manage multiple tasks at once.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and customer transactions.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of the food industry and baking processes.
• Experience with bussing tables and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
• Ability to upsell products and offer specials to drive sales.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
