This role is a vital part of our daily culinary operations, executing scratch-made production for our artisanal bread program, fresh house pastas, and seasonal desserts. This position offers an exciting mix of structured, independent evening production and creative opportunities, including assisting with custom menu items for our private event space and occasional off-site events.

Key Responsibilities Production & Execution Bread Program:

Mix, shape, scale, and bake our daily selection of artisanal loaves, rolls, and specialty breads according to exact recipes.

Pasta Production:

Roll, cut, and portion a variety of fresh house-made pastas for daily restaurant service.

Dessert Prep:

Execute prep work for our seasonal dessert menus, including components like ice creams, tuiles, mousses, tarts, and garnishes.

Events & Specialty Execution Event Space Support:

Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in creating, plating, and prepping high-end specialty desserts tailored for private events.

Off-Site Events:

Occasionally assist with packing, transporting, and finishing pastry/baked elements for off-site catering and special functions.

Station Maintenance Consistency:

Maintain strict quality control, ensuring all items meet our flavor profile and aesthetic standards.

Sanitation:

Keep the bakery station immaculate, adhering to all food safety guidelines, properly labeling inventory, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

1-2 years of commercial baking or pastry experience in a scratch kitchen, restaurant, or boutique bakery.

Technical Skills:

Solid foundational knowledge of dough fermentation, baking science, pastry prep, and precise knife/piping work. Fresh pasta-making experience is a major plus, but we are willing to train the right hands-on baker.

Stamina & Schedule:

Ability to work evening or overnight shifts, stand for extended periods, walk up and down stairs several times a day, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work efficiently both independently and alongside a tight-knit culinary team.
