Baker — Bread Boy Job Summary Bread Boy is looking for a passionate, reliable, and creative Baker to join our team! We're a growing bakery and café focused on fresh, house-made breads and pastries, and we're looking for someone who genuinely loves baking and wants to be part of what we're building. This position is heavily focused on hands-on production, including sourdough, artisan breads, croissants and laminated pastries, scones, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cakes, seasonal pastries, and more. Just as important as baking experience, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, kindness, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Bread Boy can be a busy, fast-paced environment, so we want someone who stays upbeat, communicates well, helps their teammates, and takes pride in the products they put into our pastry case. We love experimenting with new flavors and changing our offerings, so creativity and excitement about baking are a huge plus! What You'll Do Prepare a variety of breads, sourdough, pastries, laminated doughs, cookies, scones, cinnamon rolls, cakes, and other baked goods following Bread Boy recipes and standards Mix, shape, proof, laminate, fill, decorate, and bake products consistently Assist with high-volume bread and pastry production while maintaining quality and attention to detail Work with sourdough starters, enriched doughs, laminated doughs, fillings, creams, frostings, glazes, and other pastry components Decorate and finish pastries and desserts so they look just as good as they taste Properly weigh and measure ingredients and scale recipes as needed Operate mixers, ovens, sheeters, pastry tools, and other bakery equipment safely Keep bakery stations clean, organized, stocked, and ready for production Follow proper food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and handling procedures Package and prepare finished products for our pastry case, bread shelves, special orders, and events Help with new and seasonal products as Bread Boy's menu continues to grow Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to keep production running smoothly What We're Looking For Baking, pastry, culinary, or professional kitchen experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person Experience with bread, sourdough, pastry, or laminated dough is a major plus Comfortable working with recipes, weights, measurements, and production schedules Able to work efficiently while still caring about consistency and presentation Strong attention to detail Clean, organized, and respectful of the workspace Dependable and able to show up ready to work Comfortable working on your feet and in a fast-paced bakery environment Willing to learn, take feedback, and continue improving Positive attitude and kind personality are a must Team player who is willing to jump in and help when needed Most importantly, someone who actually loves bread, pastry, baking, and making really good food About Bread Boy Bread Boy is a growing independent bakery and café in Leominster focused on house-made breads, pastries, creative seasonal flavors, and great coffee.
