Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team starting in September. This position will start at 2-3 shifts a week of about 5 hours each and could double by the end of the year. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of mostly chocolate-related baked goods for our chocolate cafe using the chocolate we make in house from cacao beans. Wage increases based on performance reviews.

Duties:

• Prepare and bake a select number of very high-quality, delicious desserts
• Follow recipes and adhere to quality standards
• Operate baking equipment such as mixers, food processors and ovens
• Decorate some baked goods using icing, glazes, and toppings
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to food safety regulations
• Creativity welcome!

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Baker or similar role
• Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent time management and ability to multitask a must
• Understanding of food handling and sanitation standards
• Familiarity with vegan and gluten free cooking a huge plus (some of our items are gf/v), but please don't be vegan yourself because you won't be able to taste everything that we make for quality control If you are passionate about baking and creating delicious treats, we would love to hear from you.
