This is a customer-facing position responsible for creating a great experience for every guest while serving our cookies, cakes, desserts, and specialty milkshakes. Job Responsibilities As a Bakery Associate, you will: Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service Assist customers with selecting cookies, cakes, and other desserts Package and serve bakery items Prepare milkshakes and other specialty dessert beverages according to Shantilly Sweets standards Operate the POS/register and accurately process customer payments Prepare and organize customer pickup and online orders Restock cookies, desserts, cups, packaging, toppings, and other supplies throughout the shift Keep the front counter, milkshake station, display areas, and customer areas clean and organized Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, and safety procedures Complete opening and/or closing duties as scheduled Help maintain a welcoming, clean, and organized bakery environment Assist with other front-of-house bakery duties as needed Availability Requirements Open availability is required. Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include: Morning shifts Midday shifts Afternoon shifts Evening/closing shifts Weekdays Weekends Schedules may vary based on the needs of the bakery. Applicants should be able to work any shift from opening through closing when scheduled. What We're Looking For The ideal Bakery Associate is: Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers Dependable, punctual, and responsible Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to follow recipes and preparation instructions accurately Comfortable preparing milkshakes and handling food Able to maintain cleanliness throughout the shift Willing to learn and work as part of a team Able to stand for extended periods and perform normal bakery/front-counter duties Previous food service, bakery, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
