Job description:

We are looking for a highly motivated person to add to our small, fun, and dedicated team. Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to learn quickly is a must! You will be trained as a mixers assistant and will get to learn how to mix large batches of dough, cookies and biscotti. You will learn how to mix dough as well as feed our sourdough starter and make the starters for the next day. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented and enjoys making good bread! The bakery is very physical, fast paced, and you will be on your feet the whole shift, hard work but very rewarding. You will be working with a team but must be able to work independently once trained. No bakery experience required!

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 4:00 AM - 12:00

PM Responsibilities:

Learn to mix as a back up to our head mixer Operate mixing machinery Pull dough out of large bowls Scale out products Shaping dough Clean and complete all tasks before leaving at the end of shift Learning bread delivery, back up delivery driver

Requirements:

A good attitude! Able to lift up to 60lbs Driver's license Competitive in a friendly team atmosphere Cognizant of workflow to increase efficiency Willingness to work hard in a physically demanding position (on your feet for long periods) Ability to work both independently and within a team Basic problem-solving skills Ability to be flexible and team oriented in a small business atmosphere Reliable Basic math and communication skills
