Bravo Bagel is a local, family owned artisan bagel shop serving artisan bagels and sandwiches. Due to high demand, we're looking for an additional reliable, part-time baker to become a key, trusted member of our small team. Compensation is flexible based on the level of experience a candidate brings. The part-time baker will prepare fresh bagels on Saturdays and Sundays. Potential to add Fridays to assist the head baker for the right candidate. We're a bagel shop, so the shift will start early and you'll be finished early! The hours will be 4am-12pm on Saturdays/Sundays and 6am-12pm on Fridays (if applicable). This is subject to change as our needs change. On Fridays, responsibilities include assisting the head baker with topping/baking bagels, forming dough (hand and machine rolling), and mixing dough. On Saturdays/Sundays, responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning, topping/baking bagels, mixing dough, and forming dough into bagels (hand and machine rolling). Baker experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. Duties Open the bakery early in the morning - reliability is critical Clean kitchen equipment and tools before use Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough Bake a variety of bagel types Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking Shape dough to bake off Track food supplies to place orders, as needed Collaborate with team members to meet all production goals efficiently Skills Experience as a Baker, pastry chef or similar role preferred Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment Understanding of food safety practices Excellent time-management skills Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude Ability to work in early morning shifts Certification from a culinary school is a plus
