To prepare attractive baked goods and keep all bakery cases stocked.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Be present and prepared to begin work at the start of scheduled shifts. Prepares bread, rolls, muffins, cakes, pastries, donuts and other baked goods according to recipes. Monitor goods being produced in the Bakehouse to ensure the highest quality of finished product. Checks production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake. Operates Bakehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain a high level of production in order to supply multiple locations. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace throughout shift. Use proper storage, cooling and labeling procedures. Ensure that unsellable items are properly disposed of. Fulfill all shift duties. Maintain Bakehouse and food storage areas in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards. Comply with Health Department regulations including head coverings, proper dress, drinks, and hand washing. Willingness to increase product knowledge over time. Attend all staff meetings and trainings. Participate in quarterly inventories. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Bakehouse Supervisor, Fresh Manager, or Operations Leads. May be designated according to specialty baked or scheduled Bakehouse shifts.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
1-2 plus years of previous baking experience. Handles self in professional manner. Ability to project an outgoing, friendly, helpful personality. Ability to handle & prioritize multiple demands. Ability to follow recipes. Organized, attention to detail. Regular, predictable attendance; flexibility in scheduling Food Handler's Registration required
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High volume baking experience Willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Manual dexterity with hazardous equipment.
Required frequently:
standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs. Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezers etc.)
