POSITION SUMMARY
The Culinary Ambassador's (CA) primary role is as a liaison between the patient, the care team and the culinary department. The CA is responsible for providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. The CA enters meal orders, preferences and other information into the diet office software and communicates to the patient care team (nursing, mid-level providers, dietitians, physicians and the culinary team, etc.) as needed regarding patients and their meals. The CA delivers and retrieves meal trays and snacks/nourishments, and is responsible for stocking, rotating, organizing and cleaning all patient care area kitchenettes and pantries. The CA is responsible for cleaning in the kitchen and cafeteria as assigned. The CA will provide cross-coverage for the dishwasher, cold cook and pm ware washer as needed and will be trained to do so. The CA participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives and completes other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent Ability to use computers with proficiency Preferred knowledge of therapeutic diets
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 6AM-2PM, Saturday & Sunday, 6AM-1:30PM, with rotating holidays
FTE:
