Duties - Bakery Associate Prepare a variety of baked goods including pastries, cakes, bread, and cookies following established recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and decorating tools safely and efficiently Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal Package baked items carefully to maintain freshness and presentation for retail display or catering orders Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards throughout your shift Assist in food preparation tasks such as dough kneading, pastry filling, and ingredient measuring with accuracy Support high-volume production needs by managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining quality control Bakery Associate - Qualifications Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly preferred Strong knife skills and familiarity with dough preparation techniques are advantageous Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures Ability to operate kitchen equipment confidently and safely in a busy environment Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with team members and customers when needed Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes Experience in catering or restaurant settings is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for culinary arts is essential Ability to maintain a clean workspace and adhere to health regulations consistently Embark on a rewarding journey in the bakery industry where your culinary talents will thrive!
